- I am a grandfather who in his younger days raced hydroplanes. I was fairly successful in the smaller boats winning one national championship and three high point championships. My grandson Connelly Dubuisson and I started attending the auto races at Sunny South Raceway in Grand Bay Al. After attending several races, the Bandolero class caught our eye as a logical starting place for us. I purchased a used car in the fall of '08 and got ready for the '09 season.
