Final Points Results

The final points have been tallied and Connelly has in fact finished third in the Young Lions points for the 2011 season at Sunny South Raceway. Even though he missed two races with one being a double points night he was able to race his way to third place. Eighteen cars posted finishes that earned points in the Young Lions division and another fourteen posted points in the Pro-Masters division. Since both divisions ran together this season Connelly was competing against some very experienced drivers. His goal at the beginning of the season was to win one race and finish third in points in this his first season in Legend Car racing. Fortunately he was able to accomplish both of his goals. This was supposed to be his learning season and learn he did. In his last race he was turning some very respectable times against some very tough competition. We are all very proud of him and we are already looking forward to next season.

Connelly Dubuisson - Driver

Connelly is currently a sophmore at Brother Martin High School in New Orleans, LA. His other interests include Saints football and fishing.

His first race was June 20, '09, with the highlight of the season coming in the last race of the year when Connelly made a 3 wide pass in turn 3 to go from 5th to 3rd which is where he finished.

In the 2010 season Connelly won the Sunny South Raceway track championship in the Bandeloro Division. His record includes 8 first place finishes, and 3 seconds out of 14 races.

In 2011 he moved up to the Legend Division in the Young Lions class. We brought him along slowly and by the end of the season he began to show some results. In his first year of Legends racing he managed to capture third place in the Sunny South Raceway points despite missing two races.

For 2012 we have totally gone through the car, put a brand new engine in it and thus far has had moderate success with one win 3 seconds and 3 third place finishes. Connelly is curently in third place in the track points with three races to go.
